Phoenix Opens Their Season at Home
June 6 is the magical day when the Phoenix Mercury will open their 13th season against a western rival, the San Antonio Silver Stars.
“It’s great to start the season at home, especially against San Antonio, which should be an intense match up,” said Mercury All-star Diana Taurasi. “Our goal is to get back to the playoffs. We want it for this team and our fans, who are the best and most loyal in the league.”
The 34-game schedule will include 3 nationally televised games. ESPN2 will be airing the matches against the San Antonio Silver Stars on June 23, Connecticut Sun on July 28 and Los Angeles Sparks on September 13.
